As we have encountered this Global Pandemic called COVID-19 or Coronavirus, I can say without a doubt, “we've never done it this way before”!
First, I want to express appreciation for your consistent prayers as our parish staff navigates these times of challenge both in our personal lives, in addition to the burden we carry for our parishes of Holy Redeemer, St. Charles Borromeo and St. Aloysius.
We are in this together, but more than that, God is walking through the fire with all of us, and I believe we will come out the other side in victory!
We are grateful to the Lord for the way He has provided for His Church over the years. God is so faithful, and the aspect of giving is one of the most puzzling to the world around us in that when we give, we open ourselves up to the blessings of God in a significant way.
If you are unemployed at this time, we will pray God will either restore the job you had before these challenging days or assist you in finding a better one! God is still a God of miracles and provision!
As you know, we believe in the importance of tithing off the income we receive. Not only is this how the church becomes stronger, but we believe it's also how each one of us learns to trust God!
Life will never be without challenges, and this is undoubtedly one of those times we can “prove God,” even when it seems entirely sacrificial.
Please know that regardless of what your giving ability is at this time, you are loved and appreciated! As you pray for us, we pray for you, and we WILL get through this!
God loves you!
Fr.Tim
Please consider prayerfully how you can continue to assist the Church with the stewardship of Treasure while we continue to provide the necessary ministry needs during this challenging time. You can:
Thank you for your generosity. Stay Healthy | Stay Holy.
Stewardship always starts with the personal experience of the Risen Christ in our midst and in our hearts. It is a vocation to discipleship. The following of Christ as a disciple entails a personal response, and this call can result in a positive impact on our faith communities.
"Stewardship is an expression of discipleship, with the power to change how we understand and live out our lives." Good stewards live with joy and gratitude for the blessings they have received -- including those that have multiplied through diligence and hard work.
Individuals compose collectively the Body of Christ; therefore, disciples of Jesus Christ are stewards of the church because stewardship is the personal responsibility of each one of the baptized. "To each individual the manifestation of the Spirit is given for some benefit." 1 Cor 12:7
Stewardship: let us begin with being a disciple -- a follower of our Lord Jesus Christ. As members of the church, Jesus calls us to be disciples. This has astonishing implications.
Mature disciples make a conscious decision to follow Jesus, no matter what the cost.
Christian disciples experience conversion -- life-shaping changes of mind and heart and commit their very selves to the Lord.
Christian stewards respond in a particular way to the call to be a disciple. Stewardship has the power to shape and mold our understanding of our lives and the way in which we live.
Jesus' disciples and Christian stewards recognize God as the origin of life, giver of freedom, and source of all things. We are grateful for the gifts we have received and are eager to use them to show our love for God and for one another. We look to the life and teaching of Jesus for guidance in living as Christian stewards.
